Are you new to custom upholstery or window treatments?  I am often asked how to start the process of choosing window treatments or having a piece of furniture reupholstered.

At the time of  your initial phone call to set up an appointment, we are happy to explain the steps we take to assist you in making the best choices in styles and fabrics, trims and hardware.  Because we are a full service workroom, we offer everything you will need to complete any drapery or upholstery job from start to finish.

Typically, you will come into our shop bringing samples of any fabrics, patterns and colors  you are working with in the room, and throughout the home.  A picture is helpful, although not necessary, and a description of the windows and placement in the room will have some impact on what choices we will suggest to you.  You will then choose from our wide selection of the latest drapery and upholstery fabrics.  We pride ourselves on our selection of fabrics, fringe and hardware items.  For those of you who have already chosen fabrics elsewhere, we are happy to accept your *COM's  (customer's own material). We do not, however, use COM linings.  We will choose the best linings and interlinings to enhance your fabric or ours to make your creations outstanding.

If a followup appointment in your home is necessary, we will come to measure and make final selections of fabrics, styles and linings, mounting options, installation etc.

We order, taking a 50% down payment at the time of ordering, with the balance being due upon delivery, pickup or installation of your completed drapery or upholstery.  Payments may be made by check, cash or credit card.  Other extended payment arrangements may be made upon request if made prior to ordering.

When your order is completed in our on-site workroom, we will schedule an appointment for installation, and we will take care of any details needed to complete the installation.

*When supplying your own fabric (COM's) you are taking responsibility for any flaws, misprints, or color variations.  You are responsible for checking yardage for accuracy.  Please ask that fabric be put on a roll when purchasing as there may be an additional charge for pressing creases out of folded fabrics.
